    Betstop, the Australian national self-exclusion register, allows individuals to exclude themselves from all Australian licensed wagering services. The register was launched on 21 August 2023 and has had a continuous stream of registrants ever since.  

    The total number of registrants nationwide now stands at 13,608.

    According to the statistics provided in the November report, the overall number of new registrants (across all states and territories) dropped from 3,121 in October to 2,991 in November, marking a 4.2% decrease from the previous month.  

    When compared to August, the month in which the register was launched, this drop is even steeper, with a 22.9% overall decrease in new registrants in November compared to August. It seems after the initial launch that numbers are beginning to stabilise as more individuals sign up.
